School safety is becoming increasingly important in today’s world. Safety takes place in many forms including student attendance, food service solutions, visitor management, school event and grounds security. Solutions can take the form of a combination of Photo ID systems, CCTV and Access Control as well as visitor management, student identification, class attendance and hall monitoring software. Making all of these security methods work together is something that takes an identification systems integrator like RockWest Technology Group. Our team of account managers, service techs and systems engineers can give you a comprehensive solution for whatever your need.
PHOTO IDENTIFICATION SYSTEMS
The first part of any security plan involves identifying your students, faculty/staff and authorized visitors. RockWest offers all of the major Photo ID systems including: Datacard, Fargo and Zebra. Our photo ID systems can be made to work over the internet to serve as many facilities as your school or school district may have. Your photo ID card can be used for a variety of applications including:
- Student and Faculty IDs
- Mobile Attendance Tracking
- Visitor Tracking and Management
- Cafeteria/Food Services Management
- Vending
- Library Checkout
- Transportation
- Media and Computer Usage
- Building and Parking Access Control
In addition to photo ID systems, RockWest has secure laminates that help protect the integrity of your ID cards.
ELECTRONIC
SECURITY
There are a variety of electronic security measures that can be implemented
to help secure a campus. Among these
are:
Door access control
• Closed circuit TV (CCTV)
• Digital video recording (DVR)
• Time and Attendance
RockWest’s Electronic Security Group can come out for a FREE initial security
evaluation.
MOBILE ATTENDANCE TRACKING
Have the ability to track attendance anywhere on campus with a mobile hall monitor. Be able to hand out detention or tardy slips no matter where you are on campus.
WEB-BASED TECHNOLOGY
WebID software offers authorized users the ability to capture digital images and signatures from any campus location using a standard Web browser. They can either merge the images with database information to produce cards on-site, or send the images via your Intranet to a secure, centralized facility housing all your card printers. The latter solution not only minimizes software costs, it reduces the time and expense required to support the software at every PC on your network, easing the burden on support staff.
One card, many uses
Attended and self-service card centers are available to load funds onto smart card microprocessors or onto magnetic stripes; models accept bank notes and coins. Interactive student kiosks are available to facilitate credit card transactions, fund transfers and requests for card statements. |
